Prime delay launch of 7TWO in regional areas27Oct09
This Sunday’s launch of 7TWO won’t be seen across Seven’s biggest affiliate as Prime Television delays the start of broadcasts of the new multichannel into Regional NSW and Victoria.
Prime are yet to commit to a start date and have told interested viewers inquiring about the new service that an announcement will happen soon.
Thank you for your enquiry. PRIME hopes to make an announcement on its multi-channels in the near future
Meanwhile, The Canberra Times report that 7TWO will not start until at least January next year.
Seven Queensland will commence broadcasting 7TWO from Sunday and as reported yesterday, Southern Cross Television have confirmed that they will commence broadcasting 7TWO from December 1st.
Editor’s note: Our agency hasn’t heard a peep out of Prime since the announcement of 7TWO, despite the relative interest from viewers and advertisers as to when we might see the launch.

Where is the acma and other tv authorities, they are suppose to deal with rouge stations who are have no reason not to be broadcasting digital channels.
Prime takes 7 news , take 7 sport take other shows what has channel 7 the broadcaster.
So where does this leave regional nsw viewers who are being denied access to 7TWO by prime? Are the shows now being shown on 7TWO (Ugly Betty, Heroes etc) going to be shown on Prime, or does the viewer miss out again? Any wonder more and more people are using internet sites for their tv shows, oh, but wait, with our internet speeds here in country nsw that is usually out of the question as well unless you have a spare three hours to watch a 1/2 hour show!
Just been to a website regarding digital tv in gippsland vic noticed they added 7two to their page.It says prime will be commencing 7two from january 2010 i live in the hunter valley nsw so i am hoping we will receive it at the same time.Still no word from our local station prime here in newcastle regarding 7two. I think its a shame we are missing out on the programes there seems to be some great programes on 7two.
I live in Singleton and am watching 7Two, but the signal is very poor. Where do you think the signal is coming from?
I live in the Coffs Harbour area & am wanting to know IF/when we will be able to view 7TWO? I was excited to see 2 UK. serials that I watch via Austar are among the new chanel’s lineup, but when I tried to get the chanel there was ‘No signal’ Are we once again being penalised for living in a reginal area?
It’s bad enough that we don’t get the ‘you beaut’ cheap airfares, now it seems we are going to miss out on some free to air T.V.!! I would gladly cancel my TV. subscription if could get 7TWO. Come on Prime give us regional viewers a fair go!!!
